Conference statement on the Family and Care referendums

  • The proposed Family amendment to the Constitution diminishes the unique importance of the relationship between marriage and family in the eyes of Society and State and is likely to lead to a weakening of the incentive for young people to marry.
  • The Care amendment would have the effect of abolishing all reference to motherhood in the Constitution and leave unacknowledged the particular and incalculable societal contribution that mothers in the home have made and continue to make in Ireland

Welcome to St. Joseph’s Parish

Céad míle fáilte to our parish website! We are a work in progress.

When you come to St Joseph’s’ you will feel a warmth.  Take some time to reflect, a quiet moment of peace.

Look around you, embrace the safety, notice our stations of the cross. Time for a quiet prayer, light a candle, or just to reflect.

Feast your eyes on the stained glass windows and the scenes they depict.

We welcome you to our Church for Advent the period of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas and our Christmas services, busy year this year with Christmas day on a Monday.

Our Church is nicely decorated for Christmas, The Crib, Trees and Lights, and soon the garden tree will be illuminated.

We have live streaming so people near and far can be with us as we celebrate.

For sale this year, available at St Joseph’s

  • We have created some wonderful Christmas cards depicting various elements of our church, 6 cards for 5 Euro.
  • Christmas Mass bouquets  5 Euro each
  • Donations also welcome to support our Christmas decorations, making our church a vibrant, inviting and inclusive place to visit

See the trailer to Angela’s Christmas, worth a look at the story of the stealing of Baby Jesus from St. Josephs as portrayed in a short animated extract from Angela Ashes
